Distinguished leaders of our great party, members of the National Executive Committee, governors, members of the National Assembly, delegates, and my fellow Nigerians:

I stand before you today with immense gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility. This convention is not just a routine gathering; it is a reaffirmation of our collective commitment to democracy, good governance, and the future of our nation.

First, I thank you all for your unwavering loyalty to our great party, the All Progressives Congress. Your dedication and sacrifice have sustained this party and made it the most formidable political platform in Nigeria today.

This convention marks another important milestone in our journey. It is a moment for renewal, a moment for reflection, and a moment to strengthen our unity as a party. Without unity, there can be no progress. Without cohesion, there can be no victory.

Let me emphasize that the strength of our party lies not just in our numbers, but in our shared vision and collective resolve to build a better Nigeria.

My dear compatriots, I am fully aware of the challenges facing our nation today. I feel the pains of Nigerians. I understand the economic difficulties, the rising cost of living, and the concerns about power supply and infrastructure.

Let me assure you: we are paying attention.

We are not insensitive to the hardships of our people. Every policy we have introduced is aimed at correcting long-standing structural imbalances in our economy. These reforms are not easy, but they are necessary.

We inherited a system that required bold and decisive action. We chose the path of reform because we believe that temporary pain will lead to lasting prosperity.

On electricity, I want to assure Nigerians that we are taking concrete steps to improve generation, transmission, and distribution. Electricity will become better. We are working tirelessly to ensure that homes, businesses, and industries have access to reliable power.

We are also investing in infrastructure, supporting states, and creating an enabling environment for private sector participation. Our goal is clear: to build a resilient and diversified economy that works for all Nigerians.

To our party members, I say this: now is not the time for division. Now is the time for unity. We must close ranks and work together to strengthen our party structures across all levels.

I urge the newly elected National Working Committee to uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and inclusiveness. You have been entrusted with a great responsibility—to lead this party into the future.

Ensure that our internal democracy remains strong. Engage our members at the grassroots. Build a party that listens, that responds, and that delivers.

To our governors and elected officials, I commend your efforts. Continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to our people. Let your work speak for our party.

We must also expand our reach. There are millions of Nigerians who believe in our vision but are yet to join us. We must bring them in. We must grow stronger.

As we look ahead, let us remember that political power is not an end in itself. It is a means to serve the people. It is a tool to transform lives, uplift communities, and secure the future of our nation.

Nigeria will succeed. Our reforms will work. Our sacrifices will not be in vain.

I have absolute confidence in this party. I have confidence in our leaders. And most importantly, I have confidence in the Nigerian people.
