Nigerians need greater awareness on Tinubu’s accomplishments, Funkekeme tells APC support groups

Political support groups aligned with the Renewed Hope Ambassadors have urged to intensify their engagement with Nigerians on the accomplishments of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to enable them take informed decisions during the 2027 elections.

The Delta Coordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon gave the charge when he held a strategic meeting with representatives over 35 support groups on Tuesday in Asaba.
He said that many Nigerians are yet to appreciate the extent of the rot Tinubu inherited when he became President in May 2026.
“The country was intensive care unit economically and security wise. Bold decisions needed to be made bring Nigeria back from the brink. From the removal of fuel subsidy, institution of state Police and the introduction of students loan scheme that has brought genuine relief to parents and students, Nigeria is now on the trajectory to returning to prosperity again”, Solomon told the leaders of the support groups.
“Our job is to enlighten the people on the dividends of those bold actions and positive outlook ahead so they can take a more informed decision come January 2027. Nigeria is in the process of reconstruction and the task needs time to be fully accomplished. That is why President Tinubu should be voted for a second term for him to complete the job”, Solomon said.
He said that as soon as constitutional process enabling states to establish their own police is completed, states will be able hold their destiny in their own and will no longer be encumbered by the complications inherent in the unified police structure.
The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, he explained, is not running the APC but provides support to the party. The governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, is the national leader of the ambassadors with Ifeanyi Okowa as coordinator of the South South zone.
“We are the foot soldiers to propagate Tinubu’s accomplishments”, Solomon said, adding that APC remains the only stable platform to get Nigeria back on track. He said that in addition to the loan scheme, academic calendar of universities have been stable since 2023.
