Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo’s death saga takes another turn
My aprokonation, this Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo matter wey we talk about before don come back with another revelation, and this one fit make you pause small.
Remember the Nigerian socialite wey travelled to Thailand for penis enlargement and sadly lost his life after the procedure? Well, the clinic where he had the treatment don open up about his previous visits, and apparently, this was not his first time there.
According to the clinic management, Igho had been coming to the facility since 2024 and had undergone five different penis enlargement procedures before his death. Yes, five.
Meaning the procedure wey eventually turned tragic on March 5 was his fifth time of receiving treatment there. As soon as that information come out, people naturally begin ask themselves, “But why five times?”
The new revelation come as Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health don begin investigating the clinic. Authorities reportedly inspected the facility on September 7 to check whether the clinic followed the proper medical standards and whether anything went wrong during Igho’s treatment.
So at this point, nobody fit jump to conclusion about who was responsible because the investigation still dey ongoing.
But na the clinic’s version of what happened before the final procedure really add another layer to the story. According to management, the doctor advised Igho to divide the treatment into two separate sessions instead of receiving everything at once. But the clinic claims he refused and wanted the entire injection done in one session.
And na here people dey ask another question: if a doctor believes something should be done differently, should the clinic still go ahead when the patient insists?
After the procedure, things reportedly changed quickly. Igho later complained of chest pain before he collapsed. He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors wanted to carry out a CT scan, but before that could happen, he reportedly lost consciousness and had no pulse. Medical personnel reportedly battled to revive him for 101 minutes, but their efforts no work, and he was pronounced dead.
The earlier post-mortem findings had already given investigators an idea of what may have happened inside his body. According to the Westminster Coroner’s Court inquest records, the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure was linked to his death, alongside a pulmonary embolism, which is a blood clot blocking blood flow in the lungs. In simple terms, wetin start as cosmetic treatment reportedly ended with a fatal medical emergency.
Meanwhile, the clinic dey maintain say Igho knew what he was signing up for. Management claimed that he signed consent forms before each of the five procedures, received aftercare instructions and had never complained about complications from the previous treatments.
But now wey Thai authorities don enter the matter, the clinic’s records and the circumstances surrounding that final procedure go have to face proper scrutiny.
And of course, once the five procedures information hit social media, people no fit just read am and scroll past. One person asked, “Omo life no suppose hard reach like that, 5 times, what manner of insecurity is that?”
Another person looked at the doctor’s alleged warning and asked, “The doctor advised, he refused. So why didn’t the doctor refuse to carry out the procedure?” Na valid question be that, because the responsibility of a medical professional no necessarily end because a patient insists on something.
But another person no even want the private details to keep flying around online. “Why is such a private information out! Let this man rest in peace gosh,” the person wrote.
For now, Thailand’s authorities still dey investigate the clinic, while the new information has raised fresh questions about Igho’s repeated treatments and what happened during that final procedure. Five visits, one final injection and a tragedy wey nobody expected — the more details dey come out, the more people dey wonder whether this matter get another side wey investigators are yet to uncover.
Catholic priest leaves ministry after falling in love with Kenyan woman
My people, sometimes person fit travel go another country with one mission in mind, only for life to quietly bring another plan come table. Na so the story of Italian-born Father Sandro Ferretto take be, because the Catholic priest reportedly went to Kenya for missionary work, but while him dey serve the community, love come find am.
Ferretto had served as a Catholic parish priest in Kasiela and Mochongoi, Baringo County, where he spent years doing missionary work and attending to people in the community.
Na during this period for Kenya him reportedly met Sharon Jepng’ok, a Tugen woman and daughter of former councillor John Wendot. The two no just meet and waka pass; according to the report, their connection gradually grow into something more serious.
Before long, the relationship don enter another level, and Ferretto reportedly found himself having to make a major life decision. The man eventually stepped away from the Catholic priesthood because he wanted to pursue the relationship and build a family with Sharon.
So after years of answering the call to ministry, him now decide say maybe another kind of calling dey wait for am — this time, na love and family.
And the new chapter no stop for relationship matter alone o. Ferretto and Sharon have now tied the knot in a colourful traditional ceremony at Seretion Village in Kasiela, Baringo South. Family, friends and members of the community gather for the celebration as the former priest officially enter husband mode and begin this new phase of his life.
Of course, the story no fit just pass quietly because this is somebody wey people don know as a Catholic priest for years. Imagine knowing a man as Reverend Father and then suddenly seeing him dressed for traditional marriage. Na the kind development wey go naturally make people stop and ask, “Wait first, wetin happen?”
Ferretto’s decision don attract attention, especially because of the role he previously played in the Kenyan community. For years, na missionary work him dey do there, but somewhere along the line, the mission introduce am to Sharon, and the relationship reportedly changed the direction of his life.
Now, instead of continuing as a priest, him don choose to build a home and family outside the ministry.
As expected, social media people quickly carry their own reactions come. One person simply wrote, “Wait, woman collect man from God.” Another person looked at the situation differently, saying, “I respect him more than the ‘hide and seek’ ones. Congratulations to you both.”
Someone else praised his decision, writing, “He’s more courageous than a lot of others!!!”
Whether people agree with his decision or not, one thing be say Ferretto has clearly chosen a new direction for his life. From serving as a Catholic priest in Kenya to becoming a husband to the woman he met during his missionary years, his story don definitely take one unexpected turn, and this time, na family life him dey face.
Yobe APC chairman lands in hot water over marriage remark
My gistlovers, Nigerian politics don enter another level again, and this time na marriage matter join the campaign gist. During an APC gathering in Yobe State, the party chairman, Mohammed Gadaka, reportedly told married women to leave their husbands if the men tried to stop them from voting for the APC in the 2027 election.
The statement reportedly came during a political gathering in Nangere, where Gadaka was receiving hundreds of defectors into the party. Na there the chairman allegedly tell the women say if their husbands no gree make them vote for APC, make dem leave the marriage.
E no stop there o — he reportedly offered to pay the bride price and marry any woman wey end her marriage over the issue.
Omo, you already know say that kind statement no fit land quietly. People quickly begin question the whole idea of bringing husband-and-wife matter enter voting choice. Some residents and Islamic scholars reportedly described the comment as reckless and provocative, with concerns that such remarks could affect family values.
As the matter dey spread, social media people no waste time before dem start dropping their own gbas gbos. One person simply asked, “No single words of intelligence from any of these our leaders, which kind advice be this one nah?”
Another person looked at the 2027 election calendar and said, “Omo 2027 go too long.” Then somebody else apparently don tire for the whole political drama, saying, “una no even rate us again.”
But before the matter fit gather more heat, Gadaka come out to address the backlash. In a short video, the Yobe APC chairman withdrew the statement and apologised, saying people no really understand wetin him mean.
According to am, the comment na just joking banter wey dey come from the long-standing relationship between his Ngamo people and the Kare-Kare-speaking community.
He explained say him never mean to encourage married women to leave their husbands because of political differences. “My statement was just a usual joking banter and does not in any way represent the ideals I stand for nor that I intended to encourage divorce among married people,” he said. Gadaka still apologise for the comment and made it clear say he was withdrawing the statement.
Still, social media no dey forget anything quickly, especially when politician drop statement wey fit turn headline within minutes. The original comment don already spark criticism, and now the chairman’s explanation say “na joke” has become another part of the conversation.
As political activities dey build towards 2027, this one don once again show how quickly words from political rallies fit leave the rally ground and become national gist.
Gadaka has withdrawn the remark and apologised, but as far as social media is concerned, the internet don already collect the quote and archive am.
